Host an evening of murder with Clue inspired party platters that is sure to be deadly fun!
There's been a murder!
Whodunnit?
I have always been a fan of murder mysteries and Clue was my favorite board game growing up. With Halloween just around the corner, I decided to host 'An Evening of Mystery & Murder - Clue Party' with a selection of savory platters.
I had so much fun creating individual food platters for each character in the game. Our guests moved from platter to platter, reading the clues trying to figure whodunnit!
At the end of the evening each guest had the opportunity to solve the mystery that was concealed inside a black envelope!
Let me tell you...it wasn't easy to deduce! ;)
Set the Scene!
As I started setting the scene for my dinner party, creating individual place settings that reflected each character color, in the game, was a bit of challenge. I planned the food and place setting in the Clue character's own color scheme while picking decor items that would be a reflection of the character's personality type.
*Note: If you don't have the board game, I suggest purchasing Clue as you can place it as your table centerpiece and use the suspect cards to identify each platter layout.
*Note: Instead of the traditional weapons in the game, I chose, for my evening, to use different cheese knives for each character's weapon of choice... I guess it was a bit cheesy of me to do! ;)

For our evening, our little London played the part of
Mrs. White
Of course no crime goes unpunished without a couple of dog treats. London deserved it.
It was a so much fun and everyone had the chance to dig into my mystery savoryplatters!
You can decide on whodunnit at your mystery party, but most importantly just have fun, be creative!
... and stay tuned - I have a Gothic Halloween grazing table coming next week just in time for Halloween!
